His new role will see him spearheading PTFS’s regional presence and leading a team of 10 regional managers, who are currently being recruited by the company to begin operating its new structure from early 2011.

Walton said: “I look forward to getting started and ensuring that we deliver a true customer-focused sales approach.

“Our adviser community is looking for technical support, sales training and consultancy as we head into a period of significant change for the industry, and this new team will deliver exactly that.”

Walton last worked as a national account manager at Aegon UK, and spent 12 years at Legal & General.
